Benjamin Z. Heywood

Ben Heywood is a Member of the firm who maintains a diverse business practice consisting of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, commercial litigation, secured transactions, real estate and corporate law.

Mr. Heywood graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He attended Middlebury College, majoring in Spanish and earning a B.A., cum laude, in 1997. A broad liberal arts education provided a strong foundation for both his professional and personal pursuits.

Prior to entering the legal field, Ben worked as a business analyst with a public utility holding company and a management consultant with a boutique consulting firm in Columbus, Ohio. Ben was raised in Maumee, Ohio and graduated in 1993 from St. John’s Jesuit High School, where he was active in athletics and community service, and where today he is involved in alumni and governance activities.
